Two scientific studies conducted on animals suggest that eating blueberries may affect the normalization of cholesterol and prevent the risk of cancer of the colon.

The first study was done with hamsters; it was appointed to feed them with blueberries. After a period of time, they noticed a decrease in the cholesterol levels by 20%.

During the next study 18 rats were dosed with toxin, which is intended to damage the colon. Half of the lab rats were fed with blueberries, and after that their bodies were found to contain pterostilbene, which is a substance contained in blueberries. Rats that are subjected to a diet with blueberries showed 57% reduction in injuries of the colon.

There have been made many studies related to deriving the benefits of blueberries. Blueberries are known as fruits that include large amounts of antioxidants and other phytochemical substances that reduce the risk of some cancers formations. Laboratory studies support this thesis because there were made animal experiments proving that consumption of blueberries helps preventing from urinary tract infections, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and other disorders associated with aging phase of the organism.

All these benefits are thanks to the pterostilbene . According to animal experiments, this substance protects against diseases caused by body aging, reduces cholesterol and fat levels, and even lowers blood sugar levels.

The pterostilbene is also an antioxidant that is found in bilberries, cranberries and grapes. It not only effectively neutralizes free radicals, but it is also an excellent tool for prevention from diabetes and also slows aging. Tablets containing this substance are expected to be established soon.

Scientists recommend that consumption of berries should become an everyday routine, especially for people with cancer.

Blueberries are good for the health of the heart and prevent from type 2 diabetes, but the small blueberries also help in the fight against obesity.
The number of fat cells in the body is reduced by nearly 75 % under their influence. The polyphenols contained in blueberries destroy the existing fat cells in your body. Moreover, they prevent the formation of new ones.

Blueberries contain useful sugars, organic acids, pectin and vitamins: B, C, PP and others. They are rich in natural micro-and macro-elements: iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium.

Here is an example diet with blueberries. It applies for 3 days when the goal is removing 2-3 kilograms. It would be better if you can combine it with any sport for better results.
